The Community Foundation is proud to announce the Gwinnett Environmental & Heritage Center is a 2007 Unrestricted General Grant recipient of $100,000.
The Center has enjoyed a very successful opening. Approximately 18,000 visitors have explored the exciting exhibits, programs and trails since the Center opened in October of 2006. They have expanded their learning labs and will be hosting many students during the school year.
The grant monies from the Mary Kistner Endowment Fund was used to purchase equipment for the "David and Mary Kistner Lab". This lab will be used to promote the preservation of our natural resources in Gwinnett County.
